These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mera Bookkeeping Academy website, online courses, educational materials, digital products, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Mera Bookkeeping Academy is operated by Mera Bookkeeping LLC (“Mera Bookkeeping Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing our website, purchasing a course or digital product, creating an account, or enrolling in a course, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not purchase, access, or use our Services.

1. About Mera Bookkeeping Academy

Mera Bookkeeping Academy provides online educational content designed to help business owners, aspiring bookkeepers, bookkeepers, and other learners develop practical bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online knowledge.

Our courses and educational materials may include instructional videos, written lessons, examples, checklists, templates, worksheets, workflows, and other educational resources.

Our Services are provided for educational and training purposes only.

2. Educational Purpose and Disclaimer

The information provided through Mera Bookkeeping Academy is intended for educational and training purposes only.

Our courses teach bookkeeping concepts, QuickBooks Online workflows, and related business-education topics. The information provided does not constitute legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, or other professional advice.

Completing a course does not establish a professional-client relationship between you and Mera Bookkeeping Academy or Mera Bookkeeping LLC.

Individual businesses and financial circumstances are different. You are responsible for determining how information presented in our courses applies to your particular situation.

You should consult an appropriately qualified professional when you need legal, tax, accounting, financial, or other professional advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to purchase and use our Services.

By purchasing a course or using our Services, you represent that the information you provide to us is accurate and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.

Our Services are not directed toward children under the age of 13.

4. Course Purchases and Enrollment

When you purchase a course or digital product, you agree to provide accurate and complete information required to process your order and provide access to the purchased product.

Course enrollment is intended for the individual who made the purchase unless otherwise expressly authorized by Mera Bookkeeping Academy.

A course purchase does not grant you the right to share your account, enrollment, login credentials, course materials, or access with another person.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or restrict an enrollment when there is evidence of fraud, unauthorized use, payment abuse, or violation of these Terms.

5. Course Access

Course access is provided according to the access terms presented at the time of purchase.

Courses may be hosted or delivered through third-party platforms, including Ruzuku.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for ensuring that your email address and account information remain current.

You may not:

Share your login credentials
Allow another person to use your course account
Copy or redistribute course content
Sell or transfer your course access
Record or reproduce course lessons for redistribution
Circumvent course-access restrictions
Attempt to obtain unauthorized access to course materials

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate course access when these Terms are violated.

6. Course Content and Availability

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate, useful, and functional educational content.

However, we do not guarantee that:

Every course will meet your individual expectations
You will achieve a particular business, financial, bookkeeping, employment, or professional result
Course content will be error-free or uninterrupted
QuickBooks Online or other third-party software will function in the same manner shown in course materials
Course content will remain unchanged indefinitely

Software platforms, features, menus, pricing, policies, and functionality may change over time.

Because Mera Bookkeeping Academy teaches QuickBooks Online workflows, some screenshots, procedures, terminology, or platform features may change as QuickBooks Online is updated.

We may update, modify, replace, or improve course content from time to time.

7. Intellectual Property

All content provided by Mera Bookkeeping Academy is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Unless otherwise stated, Mera Bookkeeping Academy and/or Mera Bookkeeping LLC owns or has the appropriate rights to the course materials and content, including:

Course videos
Written lessons
Text
Graphics
Images
Checklists
Templates
Worksheets
Workflows
Downloadable resources
Course structure
Branding
Logos
Original educational materials

Purchasing a course gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the purchased materials for your own educational purposes.

Your purchase does not transfer ownership of the course materials to you.

8. Prohibited Use of Course Materials

You may not, without written permission from Mera Bookkeeping Academy:

Copy course materials for resale
Reproduce or redistribute course videos
Upload course materials to another website
Share downloadable resources publicly
Sell or license our templates or checklists
Create competing courses substantially based on our proprietary course materials
Give course access to another person
Record lessons for redistribution
Remove copyright or ownership notices
Use our branding or materials in a manner that suggests endorsement or affiliation

We reserve the right to terminate access when we reasonably believe course materials are being misused.

9. Personal Use of Templates and Educational Resources

Templates, checklists, worksheets, and other downloadable materials included with a course are provided for the purchaser's personal educational and business use, subject to any specific license restrictions stated with the individual resource.

You may modify a template for your own use when permitted by the applicable course or product terms.

You may not resell, redistribute, publicly post, or commercially license our original templates or educational resources as standalone products unless we provide written permission.

10. QuickBooks Online and Third-Party Services

Mera Bookkeeping Academy may provide instruction involving QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks Online is a third-party product and is not owned or operated by Mera Bookkeeping Academy.

Course content is intended to provide educational guidance based on the functionality and workflows available when the course content is created or updated.

We are not responsible for changes made by Intuit or other third-party providers to their software, services, pricing, policies, features, or availability.

Other third-party services used in connection with our Services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Systeme.io

We use Systeme.io for certain website, sales-funnel, checkout, customer-management, and related business functions.

Information submitted through Systeme.io may be processed according to Systeme.io's applicable terms and privacy policy.

Your use of any Systeme.io functionality is also subject to applicable third-party terms.

12. Stripe Payment Processing

Payments may be processed through Stripe.

Stripe is a third-party payment-processing provider. Payment information submitted during checkout may be processed by Stripe in accordance with Stripe's applicable terms, privacy policy, and security practices.

Mera Bookkeeping Academy does not intentionally store your complete credit or debit card number on its own systems.

We may receive transaction-related information necessary to administer your purchase, such as your name, email address, purchase amount, product purchased, and transaction status.

13. Ruzuku Course Hosting

Certain courses may be hosted and delivered through Ruzuku.

When you enroll in a course hosted through Ruzuku, information necessary to create your student account and provide course access may be processed by Ruzuku.

This may include information such as your name, email address, enrollment information, and course participation or progress.

Your use of Ruzuku is also subject to applicable Ruzuku terms and policies.

14. Pricing and Payments

Prices for courses and digital products are displayed at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to change prices, promotions, discounts, or offers at any time.

However, the price presented to you at the time of a completed purchase will generally apply to that purchase, subject to applicable law.

You are responsible for providing accurate payment information and completing payments according to the payment terms presented at checkout.

15. Discount Codes and Promotions

Discount codes and promotional offers may be subject to specific terms, expiration dates, eligibility requirements, and restrictions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

Discount codes cannot be combined
Discount codes have no cash value
Promotional offers may be changed or discontinued
Discounts must be applied at checkout
A discount code cannot necessarily be applied retroactively

If you forget to apply an eligible discount code, the refund provisions below apply.

16. Refund Policy

Forgotten Discount Code

If you completed a purchase without applying an eligible discount code that was available to you at the time of purchase, you may contact us within 24 hours of purchase to request a refund of the applicable discount amount.

A $10 USD processing fee will be deducted from the refund.

Discount refunds are subject to verification of the applicable discount code and its terms.

Standard Course Refund

A full refund may be requested within 24 hours of purchase, provided that:

The request is submitted within 24 hours of the original purchase; and
Your course completion percentage is below 25%.

Once a course has reached 25% or more completion, the standard 24-hour refund option is no longer available.

Course completion may be determined using applicable course-platform records.

Other Refund Requests

Refund requests that do not meet the standard refund requirements may be reviewed case-by-case.

Approval of an exception is at the discretion of Mera Bookkeeping Academy.

If an exception is approved, an administrative fee may be deducted from the refund. The fee may range from $10 USD to $250 USD, depending on the course price, circumstances of the request, and amount of access or services already provided.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval.

17. Refund Requests

Refund requests should be submitted to:

Your full name
Email address used for the purchase
Course name
Purchase date
Reason for the refund request

If a refund is approved, it will generally be issued to the original payment method.

Refund processing times may vary depending on Stripe, the applicable payment processor, or your financial institution.

18. Installment Payments

If an installment payment option is offered, you agree to complete all scheduled payments according to the payment terms presented at checkout.

An installment plan is a payment arrangement for the purchased course or product and does not automatically represent a month-to-month subscription unless expressly stated otherwise.

You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method.

19. Declined Installment Payments

If a scheduled installment payment is declined:

You may receive an email notification requesting that you update your payment information.
You should update your payment information as soon as possible.
If the payment issue is not resolved within 15 days, course access may be automatically suspended or revoked through the applicable payment and course-access systems.

Suspension or revocation of course access does not automatically cancel outstanding payment obligations associated with an installment plan.

20. Reinstatement of Course Access

If your course access has been revoked because of an unpaid installment or other payment issue, you may contact:

Reinstatement is subject to approval and may require payment of outstanding amounts and applicable reinstatement fees.

The following reinstatement fees may apply:

First reinstatement: $29 USD
Second reinstatement: $39 USD
Additional reinstatements: $75 USD per occurrence

Any outstanding payment obligations must be resolved before course access is reinstated unless another arrangement has been approved in writing.

Reinstatement fees are separate from the original course purchase price and are generally non-refundable once access has been restored.

21. Financial Hardship

We understand that unexpected financial circumstances can sometimes make an installment payment difficult.

If you are experiencing financial hardship and believe you may be unable to make a scheduled payment, please contact us as soon as possible.

We may, at our discretion, discuss possible payment arrangements or other options.

Any alternative arrangement must be approved by Mera Bookkeeping Academy in writing.

22. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a concern regarding a purchase, payment, or refund, please contact Mera Bookkeeping Academy first so that we have an opportunity to review the issue.

We reserve the right to provide relevant purchase, enrollment, payment, refund, and course-access records to Stripe or another applicable payment processor or financial institution when responding to a payment dispute.

Unauthorized chargebacks or payment disputes may result in suspension or termination of course access, subject to applicable law.

23. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You agree to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You may not share your login credentials with another person.

We are not responsible for losses resulting from your failure to protect your account credentials, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

24. Website Use

You agree to use the Mera Bookkeeping Academy website only for lawful purposes.

You may not:

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our website or systems
Interfere with website functionality
Introduce malicious code or software
Scrape or systematically copy website content without permission
Use our website to engage in fraudulent activity
Violate applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to our website when necessary to protect our website, business, users, or systems.

25. Testimonials and Reviews

If you voluntarily submit a testimonial, review, comment, or other feedback about Mera Bookkeeping Academy, you grant us permission to use that submission for legitimate business and marketing purposes, subject to applicable law.

We may edit submissions for length, grammar, formatting, or clarity without materially changing their meaning.

We will not knowingly misrepresent a testimonial or review.

26. No Guarantee of Results

Mera Bookkeeping Academy does not guarantee that completing a course will result in:

Employment
New clients
Increased revenue
Increased profits
Business growth
Certification
Professional licensure
Successful bookkeeping outcomes
Successful tax outcomes
Any specific financial or business result

Your results depend on many factors outside our control, including your experience, effort, implementation, business circumstances, and decisions.

27. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mera Bookkeeping Academy and Mera Bookkeeping LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of our website, courses, educational materials, or Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising from your purchase or use of a course or other paid product will not exceed the amount you actually paid to Mera Bookkeeping Academy for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

28. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mera Bookkeeping Academy, Mera Bookkeeping LLC, and their owners, officers, employees, contractors, and representatives from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from:

Your violation of these Terms
Your misuse of the Services
Your unauthorized use or distribution of course materials
Your violation of another person's rights
Your unlawful conduct

29. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website and courses may contain links to third-party websites, software, services, or resources.

These third-party services are not controlled by Mera Bookkeeping Academy.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.

Your use of our Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

31. Changes to Courses or Services

We may modify, update, discontinue, or replace portions of our website, courses, educational products, or Services.

We may update course content to reflect changes in bookkeeping practices, QuickBooks Online functionality, technology, or educational standards.

We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the educational value of purchased courses.

32. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

For material changes affecting existing customers, we may provide additional notice when appropriate.

33. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our Services if we reasonably believe that you:

Violated these Terms
Shared or distributed course materials without authorization
Engaged in fraudulent activity
Used unauthorized payment methods
Failed to meet applicable payment obligations
Attempted to circumvent course-access restrictions
Engaged in conduct that may harm our business, website, students, or systems

Termination or suspension does not necessarily eliminate payment obligations that arose before termination.

34. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.

35. Dispute Resolution

Before pursuing formal legal action, we encourage you to contact us and attempt to resolve the issue directly.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties may pursue any remedies available under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising rights that cannot legally be waived.

36. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect to the extent permitted by law.

37. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms specifically presented to you at the time of purchase, constitute the agreement between you and Mera Bookkeeping Academy regarding your use of the applicable Services.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and specific terms presented at checkout for a particular product, the specific product terms may control with respect to that purchase.
